The Butcher family passion for horticulture and wine is the driving-force for making super premium wines with varietal and regional character.
The chief winemaker is Scott McCarthy who was born into viticulture at his family vineyard in Mildura. Tim started his career in 1989 with Yalumba and has worldwide experience at wineries such as Oakville Ranch (Napa) and Jacques Lurton (Loire). Viticulture is handled by Tim Brown who has extensive experience in cool climate vineyards. He judiciously manages the vineyard with the philosophy of limiting input and letting the soil and varieties speak for themselves.

“We concentrate on single Vineyard Wines. We are in a cool climate location. We target quality over quantity. We research, we plant, we nurture. We narrow our varietal focus to; Burgundy, Northern Rhone and Northern Italy. We strive for savoury, elegant wines. We are partial to blue.”
