Eddies Old Vine Shiraz 2006
“The fruit for this wine is sourced from 94 and 56 year old vines. Totally opaque inky black dark red colour with deep black dark red hue showing fantastic saturation and depth. The nose displays good intensity with lifted ripe blackberry, dark chocolate, liquorice and dark plum aromas followed by a hint of vanillin spice as an end note. Rich opulent and densely concentrated the palate is loaded with mouthfilling flavours of ripe blackberry, liquorice and confectionary followed by some dark chocolate and spicy dark plum flavours. Thick and richly textured with super fine grained tannins. Excellent depth with very long aftertaste of ripe blackberry, liquorice, dark chocolate, vanilla and spice.”
