James started out in the hospitality industry at an early age, originally behind the scenes doing accounting and payroll for a well known Perth bar. 21 years down the track and James has gained vast experience in all areas of hospitality from venue management, retail, as well as wholesaling and importing. James’ passion for fine wine was developed over a period of 8 years managing Perth’s premier wine store ‘Steves Fine Wine’ in Nedlands, where he developed a love of European wines, particularly white Burgundy, and Australia’s ‘alternate’ varietals.
James has also written and co-written a number of award winning wine lists, with recognition by both the Australian Hotels Association & Gourmet Traveler. With outstanding knowledge of both food and wine matching, as well as sourcing wines, James is able to tailor wine lists to individual restaurants needs.

Mick is our resident marketing and sales guru. His extensive experience in both the retail and wholesale aspects of the industry has been developed through being in the wine trade since 1991. This all came about after developing a passion for fine Bordeaux and Burgundy (thanks to a kind relative with an exquisite cellar!).
He says “With a bent for fine boned, cool climate wines, the Castelli range is right up my alley and just quietly, it doesn’t hurt that the wines are damned good value too! I can’t wait to see the upcoming reserve wines from these guys.”

Back in the second last decade of the twentieth century Jamie’s very first job was at a bustling outpost of a national liquor chain. Many years later and after time spent living, working and studying in Spain and Canada he finds himself firmly ensconced in the wine industry here in Perth.
He has worked in retail, wholesale, cellar door and sales and marketing roles as well as time waxing lyrical about wine on the radio. The one thing he has discovered in this time is he can talk. A lot. If you don’t know him yet, you’ll find out soon enough…

Stefano was born in a small village in Sardinia, and started in the hospitality industry at an early age. Following a two year stint in London working as a head sommelier, he moved back to Italy and ran his own successful restaurant in Rome. Upon moving to Australia Stef made a name for himself as head sommelier at Must wine bar, before moving into the wholesale side of the industry. Stefano is a certified sommelier in both Italy and Australia and is able to conduct staff training, wine list curation, and corporate tastings.

After working for several years in E-learning and marketing projects in South America, Ana decided to seek her true passion for wines completing a Post Grad in Viticulture & Oenology at Curtin University in Margaret River. Since 2011, she gained vast experience in the winemaking process from vineyard to bottle, including wine education, sales and marketing in both Swan Valley and the South West.
